Today was our first day of outdoor work; we began doing things to help the garden such as measuring and lots of pulling plants. One of our groups which are taking care of the tree bench measured the diameter and circumference of the tree’s trunk. They found out that the circumference was 80 and the diameter was 25.47 to be able to build our bench. The same group has also been working on digging up hosta a plant around the tree we need for the bench. This will allow for more space to build in. The other group has been working on the perimeter and area of our two gardens. This will let us know how much room we have to plant new flowers and bushes and weed out any unwanted plants that have grown overtime. Mrs. Oliveira has taken pictures of plants to show to a community worker at Five Star Garden Center. They will tell us which plants to keep and which ones are weeds. Also, today Mrs. Mucha has decided to let us continue our building process, and Mr. Eric has decided to help us on building.
Remember to check our blog every day for new updates on our building process
Thank you all for your help and ideas,
